From the Desk of Oscar

“I can resist everything except temptation… and a perfectly aimed laser pointer.”

Oscar Barnaby seated in a Victorian parlor with a Bengal kitten on his lap, Wilde Bengals journal artwork

Dearest readers, connoisseurs of beauty, and those merely looking to worship at my paws: welcome. I am Oscar, the reigning sovereign of this establishment, chief heartbreaker, and your resident Stud.

It has come to my attention that the human staff has, until now, been responsible for documenting life here in our little Parisian paradise. Frankly, their prose lacked a certain… je ne sais quoi. One cannot expect a biped to truly understand the exquisite art of a midday nap or the sheer genius required to look this magnificent in rosettes. Therefore, I have graciously decided to take over the Journal writing duties.

To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance, and believe me, I am absolutely infatuated with myself. As my first official act of literary brilliance, I have deigned to dictate my very first entry to a human typist below. Read on for my musings on life, luxury, and the pursuit of perfection, assuming you can handle this much sophistication in one sitting.

Charmingly yours,
Oscar
